Pipedrive is a lean, sales-focused CRM: it revolves around the pipeline, around deals that move forward stage by stage. What it deliberately does not do is manage loose knowledge. Connect Pipedrive with snori and the two complement each other cleanly: Pipedrive drives the sales process, snori gathers and structures the context – automatically and in both directions.
What is Pipedrive?
Pipedrive is a CRM from Estonia, founded in 2010 by salespeople who wanted a tool without clutter. At its heart is the visual sales pipeline: deals move as cards through clearly defined stages, from first contact to close. Hundreds of thousands of companies across more than 175 countries use it, and small to mid-sized teams especially value its clarity. Pipedrive offers an open API and many connections to other services. Its strength is a sharp focus on closing – and its limit is exactly that: it is not built for free knowledge, notes, research and handbooks. snori covers that ground.
snori and Pipedrive: the two directions
Every connection has a direction. With snori both are possible, often at the same time.
snori as the target – data comes in
A deal changes stage in Pipedrive, a new contact appears: the event flows as a row into a smart table in snori, or creates a page. A knowledge profile grows around every deal with everything around it that has no place in the pipeline.
snori as the source – data goes out
You create a note or a table row in snori, and the matching fields travel into Pipedrive – as a deal, a contact, an activity. snori becomes the curated point of truth that keeps your pipeline maintained.
How to set up the connection
- In snori, open the settings for the Workspace API and create an access key for this specific workspace.
- You decide what that key may do: read only, append, change or also delete.
- You connect Pipedrive through an automation service like Zapier, Make or n8n – there you pick the Pipedrive trigger and enter the snori key.
- Done: from now on the data flows in the direction you set.
No server, no code, no ongoing maintenance on the snori side.
Who can access your data
This is where snori is different. An access key in snori can never do more than you allow. You decide separately for each connection: may Pipedrive only append new entries, or also overwrite existing ones? See only this one workspace, or several? Every change is versioned and can be rolled back. So you enable the connection without losing control of your content – and your data stays encrypted in a German data centre.
Pipedrive, HubSpot or Salesforce – where does snori fit?
snori is the same thing for all three: the knowledge memory alongside the CRM. Pipedrive is lean and close-focused, HubSpot is broader and marketing-heavy, Salesforce is the enterprise choice. For an overview of the whole area see the page Connect CRM & ERP with snori. Technically each of these connections runs over the same Workspace API.
