HubSpot is one of the most widely used CRM and marketing systems in the world. It is strong at keeping contacts and deals, but not built to hold loose knowledge. Connect HubSpot with snori and a clean interplay emerges: HubSpot keeps the records, snori gathers and structures the context – automatically and in both directions.
What is HubSpot?
HubSpot is a cloud platform from the US, founded in 2006, that brings CRM, marketing, sales and customer service under one roof. Millions of users across more than 130 countries use it to manage contacts, sales opportunities and campaigns. At its core is a CRM that starts free, surrounded by modules for email marketing, ticketing and automation. HubSpot is known for its open API and a large ecosystem of connections. What HubSpot is not: a place for free, unstructured knowledge – conversation histories, research findings, internal handbooks. That is exactly where snori fits in.
snori and HubSpot: the two directions
Every connection has a direction. With snori both are possible, often at the same time.
snori as the target – data comes in
A new contact lands in HubSpot, a deal changes stage: the event flows as a new row into a smart table in snori, or creates a customer file as a page. A knowledge profile grows around every HubSpot contact, going far beyond the plain master data.
snori as the source – data goes out
You create a note, a research entry or a table row in snori, and the matching fields travel into HubSpot – as a contact, a property, an activity. snori becomes the curated point of truth that keeps your CRM maintained.
How to set up the connection
- In snori, open the settings for the Workspace API and create an access key for this specific workspace.
- You decide what that key may do: read only, append, change or also delete.
- You connect HubSpot through an automation service like Zapier, Make or n8n – there you pick the HubSpot trigger and enter the snori key.
- Done: from now on the data flows in the direction you set.
No server, no code, no ongoing maintenance on the snori side.
Who can access your data
This is where snori is different. An access key in snori can never do more than you allow. You decide separately for each connection: may HubSpot only append new entries, or also overwrite existing ones? See only this one workspace, or several? Every change is versioned and can be rolled back. So you enable the connection without losing control of your content – and your data stays encrypted in a German data centre.
HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce – where does snori fit?
snori is the same thing for all three: the knowledge memory alongside the CRM. HubSpot is marketing-heavy and broad, Pipedrive is leaner and sales-focused, Salesforce is the enterprise choice. For an overview of the whole area see the page Connect CRM & ERP with snori. Technically each of these connections runs over the same Workspace API.
