Power Automate is Microsoft's automation service, deeply embedded in the Microsoft 365 world. With snori as a fixed endpoint, your workspace becomes a hub – data from Outlook, Teams, SharePoint or Excel flows in the moment an event happens, and flows out the moment you create something in snori. You build the flow in the familiar Microsoft environment, snori keeps to the rules.
What is Power Automate?
Power Automate, formerly known as Microsoft Flow, is Microsoft's platform for workflow automation and part of the Power Platform. Its biggest advantage is the tight integration with Microsoft 365: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel and the rest of the ecosystem are connected without detours, plus several hundred further services through so-called connectors. If your working day already runs inside the Microsoft world, you will find the automation right next to it – from automatically filing attachments to multi-step approval processes. A "flow" consists of a trigger and the actions that follow, with no coding at all. That is exactly where snori fits in: as a source and as a target, so your knowledge no longer stays scattered across inboxes and file stores.

snori as the target – data comes in
An email arrives in Outlook, a Microsoft Forms form is filled in, a file lands in SharePoint: Power Automate catches the event and writes it as a new row into a smart table in snori, or creates a new page. Your knowledge gathers itself, structured and in one place, instead of scattered across folders and inboxes in the Microsoft environment.
snori as the source – data goes out
You create a new table row or page in snori, and Power Automate carries it onward: as a message in Teams, as a task in Planner, as a row in Excel or as an email through Outlook. snori becomes the central point of truth that feeds your Microsoft tools.
How to set up the connection
- In snori, open the settings for the Workspace API and create an access key for this specific workspace.
- You decide what that key may do: read only, append, change or also delete.
- In Power Automate you use the HTTP action or a suitable connector and enter the key.
- Done: from now on the data flows in the direction you set.
No server of your own, no code, no ongoing maintenance – the flow runs as long as it is active.
Who can access your data
This is where snori is different. An access key in snori can never do more than you allow. You decide separately for each connection: may Power Automate only append new entries, or also overwrite existing ones? See only this one workspace, or several? Every change is versioned and can be rolled back. So you connect the Microsoft world with snori without losing control of your content – and your data stays encrypted in a German data centre.
Power Automate, Zapier or Make – which fits?
Power Automate is the obvious choice when your team already works in Microsoft 365 and you want the automation to sit right next to Outlook, Teams and SharePoint. Zapier has the largest app selection beyond the Microsoft world, Make offers plenty of visual logic, and n8n you can self-host. For snori it makes no difference: all of them speak the same interface. If you like, you can also connect snori directly via the Workspace API, with no service in between.
