Model Context Protocol (MCP)
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard through which AI systems can access external tools and data sources in a structured way — for example, to read documents, execute tasks, or store information. It defines how an AI client and an external service (server) communicate with each other, independent of the specific AI provider.
